So there is a back story to this coat. I like to think all my clothes have their own story. Anyways, this adorable Betsey JOhnson coat was on display all thru the winter season and in went on sale in January. With a $300 price tag, i don't think so, unless it went on mega sale. Which it did. 70% off. YAY. The only thing is that someone purchased the only Medium the day it went on sale! I was depressed, angry, you name it. I am not a medium but i figured, who cares its a coat its not supposed to be fitted, plus Betsey Johnson clothing sizes come very reduced. There was only large left. I figured it was gone forever and i would have to wait for an awesome sale at the Betsey outlet to top that discount but one day i passed by and i saw the coat and i figured it was the large but them i saw this.
For those not familiar with Dillards, they put yellow pop (proof of purchase) labels when you buy something there. It is also a handy little system that saves all the information like purchase date, what you paid with and so on so if you lose your receipt they can still return it. Actually, now that i see it it's kind of stalkerish they have all that information.... But i digress, this coat had a pop label already which means someone returned it. So i ran to it in slow motion like in the movies but mainly because i can't run, and yes it was the lovely medium and someone had returned it. Apparently the sales lady told me that the woman who purchased it realized she needed a large. Quite honestly it pissed me off, she should have just tried it on and let me have me damn coat when it was still cold and i could have still used it this winter and i didn't wait 2 more weeks for her to try it on and realize she's too big for it. Not cool. But it did have a really cute detachable bow belt i can probably wear with a dress or something.
